Welcome to Ann Teruya's Beadsite!

At this Beadsite, jewelry designer Ann Teruya displays some of her glass beads, silver encased beads, and beaded necklaces (handcrafted jewelry).

The bead necklaces are handmade jewelry items utilizing beads made from a variety of materials. (Metal, ceramic, bone, wood, seed beads, lampwork beads and washi beads to name a few.) Lampworking is the process of making glass beads by melting hot glass rods. Washi beads are wooden beads that are covered with a special paper (fibrous paper made in Japan).

Ann started making jewelry several years ago and soon progressed from hobbist to professional. After taking a lampworking class she purchased a torch and quickly developed her skills as a bead maker. Her beads have found a ready and growing market among other jewelry makers, in addition to being incorporated into her own finished pieces.

The beads and jewelry items you find here are Ann's creations, except where noted. We hope you find them provocative and interesting.
